Donna L. Johnson is The Unemployed Entrepreneur™. As a speaker and confidence coach, Donna teaches others how to beat the odds and achieve success by creating your own opportunities.
Donna’s repertoire includes below average grades in high school, the loss of her father at age 18, and becoming a victim of domestic violence in her early 20’s. She’d had at least 15 jobs by the time she was 22.
Over the next 16 years Donna rose from entry level positions to the ranks of management. She was a respected leader who didn’t mind rolling up her sleeves to help her teams get the job done. She’s an innate risk taker who embarked upon several failed business endeavors, but it was her passion for speaking and the ability to draw in her listeners that proved to be a winning combination which fueled and satisfied her entrepreneurial hunger.
Donna is a relationship building expert and the Founder of a women’s entrepreneur network. Built on the principle of collaboration, she assembled a diverse group of women that she trains and empowers to succeed in life and in business. She educates members on the importance of creating a strong personal brand and leveraging free publicity to become a household name. Donna challenges women to out-think and not out-spend when it comes to marketing your business.
Donna is a contributing writer to Forbes and has achieved a lifelong dream of becoming a radio personality. In 2010, she signed on with Austin Community Radio, Inc. on KAZI 88.7 FM and launched Candid Conversations with Donna, a morning call-in advice show.
Her audiences laugh and cry as they applaud her candidness and unconventional approach to rising to the top.
